Why Odin?
We’re often asked where our name came from, was it chosen because of the Island’s Norse heritage? Or perhaps inspired by films and mythology?
The truth is far more personal. Odin was the name of a beautiful Burmese Mountain Dog, much loved by one of our founder, Nigel Rotheroe, and by everyone who met him.
Meet Odin
Odin was larger than life, quite literally! A gentle giant who bounced around the office, soaking up attention and bringing joy to our working days. He quickly became part of the office family, and his visits were something we all looked forward to.
Beyond our walls, Odin was also well known in the Isle of Man community. Living in Laxey, he was impossible to miss thanks to his size and presence, but it was his character that made him unforgettable. Odin adored children and people of all ages, making him the perfect ambassador for his work with Paws for Therapy, where his big heart shone through.

A Lasting Legacy
Sadly, Odin passed away in August 2025, just before his ninth birthday. While he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on. His name continues to inspire our business, reminding us of loyalty, warmth, and connection, not just to each other as colleagues, but to the wider community we serve.
We are proud that Odin will forever remain a part of our story and legacy.
