Our Sustainability Goals

Throughout our history, the long term sustainability of our business has always been at the heart of what we do, we have and always will be a ‘values led’ business. We are now building on this history and our corporate social responsibility by adopting a sustainable plan that aligns with the United Nations 17 sustainable development goals.

The 17 goals set by the United Nations are built on five pillars,

People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership

As an initial step, we are focusing on the following three sustainability goals:

Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Climate Action

Reduced Inequalities and Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

For many years, our fiduciary business together with UHY Crossleys LLC, has been supporting campaigns to raise awareness and initiatives to improve the legislative framework in the Isle of Man to help combat elder and vulnerable financial abuse.

Financial abuse of the vulnerable and elderly is a global problem and on the increase. This has been exasperated in the post COVID era.

We are committed to continuing our support to reduce inequalities and improve justice within this area by:

Supporting initiatives to raise awareness and combat ageism; and
Support Isle of Man initiatives to put in place new legislation that provides much needed protection for the vulnerable and elderly, and a platform for perpetrators to be held to account.

Climate Action

We recognise as a firm that it is our social responsibility to consider the decarbonisation of our business in alignment with global targets, that are also adopted in our home jurisdiction, the Isle of Man.

Over the years, we have made many improvements within our office such as the removal of single use plastic cups and the implementation of a document management system in 2019 which led to a major reduction in paper use.

During 2022/2023, we will be undertaking a full assessment of our carbon impact and subsequently developing a climate plan for our business. We are committed to understanding our carbon footprint and finding solutions to reduce impact. Watch this space and our media posts!
